Going to the University of Illinois for the game against Ohio State was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. As a high school football player, just being there showed me what the next level really looks like. Walking into Memorial Stadium, seeing the fans, hearing the band, and feeling that energy. I realized that college football hits different. It’s more emotional, more intense, and way more personal than anything I’ve seen before.
Watching the game from the skybox was crazy. It gave me a whole new view of how big college football really is. You can tell how much pride the fans have in their team, and it made me want to work even harder to get there one day. The players were fast, strong, and locked in, but what really got to me was remembering that they’re still just young guys too, guys who were once in high school like me, trying to prove themselves and chase their dreams.

As a defensive tackle, I couldn’t stop thinking about what it would feel like to rush on that field, under those lights, with that crowd behind me. I’ve always dreamed of playing in the NFL, but being at that game made me realize how special college football really is. In college, you’re still building your name. You’re still grinding to get noticed. Every play, every mistake, every moment matters because it’s all part of your story.
That night showed me that if I want to get to that level, it’s going to take way more than just talent. It’s going to take heart, focus, and consistency. Seeing those players fight, win, and learn in front of thousands of people gave me even more motivation. It made me believe that one day, if I keep working, I can be down there too.
