Inside BIG3 Opening Day in Chicago

The BIG3 season officially tipped off at Allstate Arena in Rosemont and AMG Sports Media was courtside with exclusive coverage of every moment. All eight teams took the floor on opening day. Miami 305 edged LA Riot 50 to 44 behind the playmaking of Lance Stephenson. Detroit Amps outlasted the hometown Chicago Triplets 50 to 48 in a game that came down to the final possession. Houston Rig Hands claimed a 50 to 46 victory over DMV Trilogy. Dallas Power closed the night with a dramatic 51 to 49 win against the Boston Ball Hogs. Each contest stayed tight until the end, setting the tone for a season where every bucket carries weight.

The highlight of the day came in Game One when tempers boiled over between Dwight Howard and Lance Stephenson. The two former NBA stars engaged in a heated altercation that stopped the action and electrified the crowd.
